About Therapy
Time and time again, research shows that the client/therapist fit is the most important factor in determining the efficacy of mental health treatment.
A genuine, trusting, and collaborative dynamic can transform your experience in the therapeutic space. Once we determine this exists, or has the potential to grow and develop as we build rapport, I will pull from a variety of evidence-based practices and clinical interventions to support your growth.
This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I will provide education, guidance, and support to empower you to incorporate skills and techniques from these practices and more into your daily life outside of therapy.
I will encourage transparency in our dynamic that allows for openness and honesty throughout the process. While I may be the expert in the room, you are the expert in your own life.
